Role Description This is a full-time on-site role located in Kuching, and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our dynamic team. As the Executive Sous Chef for our 4-star hotel, you will oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, including food preparation, menu planning, and inventory management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all food served is of high quality, meets or exceeds guest expectations, and adheres to food safety and sanitation regulations. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sous chef or executive sous chef role in a fine dining restaurant or hotel setting Demonstrated expertise in international cuisine, fine dining, and high-volume production Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, and culinary techniques, including sous vide, molecular gastronomy, and other modern cooking methods Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of cooks and prep chefs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen staff and management Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines A passion for food and the culinary arts, with a desire to continue learning and experimenting with new techniques and ingredients Experience in menu development and cost management is preferred, as well as knowledge of local and international food trends
