EXECUTIVE

HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, AND SECURITY (HSES) UNIT, UNIKL MIAT (Subang)

(Lot 2891 Jalan Jenderam Hulu, 43800 Dengkil, Selangor)

KEY ROLES :

Ensure full compliance with safety and health policies. Conduct regular inspections and take corrective action on any identified irregularities. Lead aviation security operations and ensure all security personnel understand their roles and responsibilities within the aviation industry (MRO area). Adhere to safety and security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with CAAM, DOSH, and DOE Acts/regulations at the Dengkil/Sepang campus and MRO area. Oversee and control the movement of UniKL MIAT staff, students, tenants, and visitors within the campus area. Monitor access at the main gate (Post 1) to ensure only authorized vehicles are permitted entry. Collaborate with the IT Unit to ensure all CCTV systems are functioning effectively. Ensure the maintenance of all fire protection systems by the Maintenance Unit in preparation for fire certificate (FC) renewal at the Dengkil/Sepang campus. Oversee the renewal of the Certificate of Fitness (CF) for overhead cranes, unfired pressure vessels, autoclaves, and other related equipment. Act as the liaison with relevant regulatory and authority bodies. Coordinate OSH activities for the Sepang campus, including those involving tenants (e.g., Safety Committee, Emergency Response Team). Propose safety, health, security, and environmental improvements for management consideration.

REQUIREMENTS :

Minimum a Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety Management (BOHS). Have Safety & Health Officer (SHO) certification from NIOSH. Candidate with three (3) years of working experience in aviation security or Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations is an added advantage. Solid knowledge and proven experience in the field of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE). Ability to plan, implement, and execute safety procedures in compliance with OSH legislation. Familiarity with CAAM, DOSH, and DOE Acts, regulations, and requirements is an added advantage. Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal). Able to work effectively under pressure, demonstrate teamwork, and handle multitasking efficiently.
