Job Description


:

* Ensure the implementation of agreed direction and strategies (related to Marine engineering) enable the achievement of cost effectiveness and resource optimization towards applicable design codes, standards, safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide inputs and guide the selection of external resources such as vendor specialist and technology providers in the undertaking of engineering activities are seamless smooth execution and cost effectiveness of detailed engineering activities that adheres to project requirement.
  • Resolve issues and obtain required approval involving technical queries, technical deviations and non-conformance of EPCC contractors in reference to applicable codes & standards project specifications for the achievement of cost effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Participate with design review, workshop, studies, assurance activities, internal and external audits EPCC contractors to ensure wholesome inputs into the deliverables budget utilization through effective management of resources to ensure successful completion of project within the targeted schedule and approved budget to align with project objectives.
  • Implement and maintain marine engineering system, methodology, documentation and records for technical development/changes and standardization by keeping abreast with the latest technology improvement during the project, code requirements, cost reduction initiatives, quality improvements, etc. which are relevant to work scope for the cost-effective execution of the project as well as develop deliverables which includes Operation and Maintenance (O&M) procedure, Maintenance Plan, Standard Portable Intermediate Representation (SPIR).
Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (Marine, Naval Architecture, Civil or Mechanical).

Requirements: * Minimum 5 years working experience in floating/marine engineering, naval architecture, offshore engineering in marine or oil and gas facilities.
  • Involved with EPCC and well versed with class society requirements and IMO (International Maritime Organization) regulations related to floating facilities e.g., Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU) Code, safety at life at sea (SOLAS), The International Code of the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk (IGC) Code and the International Convention of Prevention of Marine Pollution for Ships (MARPOL).
  • Strong analytical ability to review and analyze performance and business issues in broad perspective.
