Job Description

:

s: * Provide Indirect Tax advisory throughout the process, system enhancement and submission of SST registration form for new SST registered and expansion of taxable product/service for existing SST registered company.

• End to end involvement in determination of registration liability and compliance requirements in relation to other local Indirect Tax matters.
• Provide support in determining registration liability and compliance requirements in relation to international Indirect Tax matters, where required.
• Provide Indirect Tax technical input and support on new system migration/ enhancement.
• Research, analyse, and interpret the Indirect Tax legislation changes/ updates including risk and implications. Assess and research Indirect tax issues arising from compliance review and prepare tax position and recommendation.
• Provide support for Indirect Tax applications (including exemptions/ refunds/ remissions) made to Tax Authorities and liaise with relevant Tax Authorities up to a decision is obtained in relation to Indirect Tax applications and determination on the next course of action.
• Resolve technical queries and issues escalated and preparing Indirect Tax returns under Indirect Tax Operations.
• Determination of Sales & Service Tax (SST) registration liability for non-SST registered company and determination of taxable products/services for existing SST registered company arising from change in scope of taxability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/Business/ Finance/Economics with Accounting module/ Advanced Diploma
• CGPA: 3.0 or WAM: 70% or 5/7 or 5/9 or B or 2:1 (2nd Class Upper).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA or equivalent is an added advantage.

Requirement:

• 4 -7 years of working experience in finance and accounting related field, preferably in oil and gas industry.
