The post for Executive/Senior Exeuctive is based in the Logistics Department & reports to the Head of Operations. Mainly his/her responsibilities are related to overseeing the student/staff hostel which includes checking hostel facilities & troubleshooting/advising when/if any problems arise. Additionally they are involved in hostel acquisition (if required) for every intake to ensure that the hostel units are sufficient for incoming students. This hostel acquisition also covers the hostel furniture/fittings/electrical goods and any outstanding maintenance issues. Responsibilities Daily Tasks: 1. To check on hostel facilities & to attend/explain to students inquiries regarding hostel issues (basic details and overall procedures). 2. To periodically check students quit/defer status & update the hostel records and the CAS system to reflect this. 3. To see to staff/students\' queries & complaints concerning their hostel including (but not limited to) maintenance issues, amenities, furniture, fittings, bills. To ensure that staff/students are made aware of hostel rules & regulations. 4. To see to & follow up with any hostel maintenance issues. To see to any other issues concerning hostels (for example in the event of break-ins, emergency cases etc). 5. To act as a liaison between the outsource hostel company &/or any relevant individuals/organisations to do with hostel issues. Seasonal Tasks: 1. Before new intake, check & verify the hostels handed over by outsource company. 2. Prepare & process Purchase Requisition for hostel furniture & electrical goods based on number of new hostel units acquired. 3. Arrange & oversee the delivery of the furniture & electrical goods to each hostel unit. o Co-operation in arranging hostel for MQA visit, and answering any queries about student hostel. o Provide support & assistance to Student Affairs & Development during spot check on student discipline & cleanliness at hostels. o Other tasks as required by Manager.
