Job Description

• Implementation and execution of work plan to meet the targeted production volume.
• Responsible for the Mother Palm (MP) and Pollen Palm (PP) maintenance at SPU Banting.
• Ensure that SPU Banting fully complies with regulatory requirements.
• Provide good supervision to the down line to produce legitimate DXP controlled pollinated bunches.
• Conduct quality checks for good recovery of controlled pollinated bunches.
• Maintaining good security of company asset.
• Provide coaching and training for productive and well-disciplined workforce
• Regular briefing to staff and workers on technical matters, procedures, safety, and security.
• Compliance to standard operating procedures to achieve high quality planting materials.
• Leading field operating staff on parental palm maintenance and production.
• Stringent supervision on pollen collection to get consistent supply of high quality pisifera pollen.
• Implement the necessary procedures and measures to ensure the security of all parental palms from any theft, damages, infestation, etc that potentially could jeopardise the capacity of the production of the palms.
• Regular check of all records maintained by staff and workers.
• Undertake other jobs assigned by the management.

• Relevant tertiary education (minimum Bachelor\'s Degree) in agriculture or other related disciplines
• 3 years working experience with some exposure in seed production or agronomy or estate management
• Basic knowledge in agriculture and plant biology
• Basic concept and principle in business management including quality of products, budget, cost
