Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Executive is responsible to assist the Head of Programme Management in the operations of the Programme Management unit in fulfilling its roles and objectives for Taylor's.

The primary role and objective are to assist and support on the matters related to academic programme approval and renewal as well as to ensure compliance to the Governance, policies, and guidelines of MoHE, MOHA, MQA, professional bodies as well as statutory agencies and departments. The secondary role is to manage and ensure accuracy in the related internal and external online platforms for applications and information updates. The Executive is to ensure they are serviced and maintained in e-IPTS or related internal and external platforms.

The Executive will support system matters related to Registry for example, CMS, Curate and TOPAS or other systems where Registry is the owner.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure applications to obtain MOHE approval are submitted in eIPTS in a timely manner.
  • Ensure programme approvals are renewed and approval received before the validity ends.
  • Prepare and submit application for fee related matters for all programmes in a timely manner.
  • Update records of programmes curriculum version control.
  • Prepare and assist in the programmes and modules set up in CMS and Curate
  • Implement the processes in the E2E of programme and complementary study application, changes, and cessation.
  • Support internal and external audit exercises and accreditation visits.
  • Understand and revise relevant policy and procedure.
  • Network and maintain relationships with relevant government authorities.
  • Assist in the legislation of business, licenses, and others
  • Communicate and support the requirements and actions needed to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to you from time to time
JOB SPECIFICATIONS

MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3 years of experience in education with a record in experience in dealing with regulatory bodies namely the Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency. He/she should also have experience of initiating and managing change based on requirements of the regulatory bodies, strategic planning and overseeing the implementation of plans and changes through to positive outcomes.

  • Knowledge of current trends, policy environments, legal aspects, and challenges in higher education
  • Familiar with University Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of statutory, regulatory and requirements in Higher Education
  • Ability to provide efficient provision of administrative services to support the Registry and its core functions.
  • Ability to work with the team towards achieving strategic objectives of the company.
  • Establish contacts, maintain rapport and relationships with educational institutions, Government Agencies, professional bodies, relevant bodies, or associates.
  • Knowledge of current trends, policy environments and future challenges in higher education.
  • Ability to communicate values and beliefs about the University and its vision in a persuasive and motivating manner.
  • Good interpersonal skills in building and managing networks and relationships, both
externally and internally.
