Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Space Planning & Operational Layouts

Develop store layouts that optimize customer flow and operational workflows based on business target capacity. Plan kitchen/back-of-house layouts aligned with operational needs, preparation flow, food safety, and ergonomic considerations (for F&B).

2. Concept Development & Design Review

Review design proposals, mood boards and concept presentations from internal / external stakeholders to align with brand identity and budget.

2. Technical Drawings & Documentation

Produce accurate 2D CAD layouts, elevations, and basic construction details. Create 3D models and renderings for internal approvals, brand principals, and landlord submissions (when applicable) Update drawings based on operational feedback, equipment specifications, and site conditions.

3. Equipment Coordination & Vendor Communication

Liaise with equipment vendors, fabricators, and suppliers to confirm equipment specifications, electrical loading, plumbing needs, ventilation requirements, and dimensional constraints. Coordinate equipment placement based on operational workflows and technical feasibility.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Coordinate closely with Design, Projects, Operations, Merchandising, and Brand teams to ensure layouts meet both functional and brand standards. Work with mall management, landlords, and external consultants to resolve layout issues, meet submission requirement and regulation. Ensure all plans align with building codes, mall guidelines, accessibility standards, and safety regulations.

5. Site Verification & On-Ground Support

Verify site measurements during progress to ensure accuracy of site condition and drawings. Support Project Managers during construction by providing clarifications and layout adjustments as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory). Good knowledge of space optimization and operational input to incorporate within design. Able to create basic 3D visuals and renderings (SketchUp & Enscape). Strong understanding of construction drawings, material details, and joinery basics. Strong communication skills, especially when dealing with vendors and internal stakeholders. Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
