Position Summary

Provide engineering development and service engineering support in aircraft structures and landing gear, enhancing fleet reliability and safety.

Key Accountability


======================


Provide engineering development and service engineering support in the field of aircraft structures and landing gear under ATA Chapters 11, 32, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 and 57 for the MW aircraft fleet. Conduct studies and implement resolutions to technical issues to enhance aircraft technical dispatch reliability. Support operations and production teams with technical services related to the assigned ATA Chapters for the entire MW fleet. Carry out any other duties related to aircraft structural issues or technical queries as assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager, Technical Services. Maintain an effective and cost-efficient administrative system within the section and oversee the completion of assigned tasks. Ensure that personnel possess the appropriate skills, receive up-to-date training, and are current with the latest procedures, methods, and regulatory requirements. Initiate, evaluate, develop, and recommend modifications, equipment changes, and updates to maintenance and operational policies. Analyze emerging technologies to assess their applicability and suitability for the MW fleet and operations. Provide continuous technical support to operations and production areas. Liaise with vendors, airlines, regulatory authorities, overhaul agencies, and internal departments on technical matters related to the assigned responsibilities. Implement corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality compliance monitoring and audit findings within the section. Consolidate and coordinate Technical Services Department inputs, ensuring timely responses to issues raised during the daily Engineering Operations Meeting (EOM). Conduct evaluations of Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs). Ensure that persistent or long-standing defects on aircraft and components are resolved in a timely manner. Carry out reliability studies of aircraft components, PIREP and MAREP to monitor On Time Performance (OTP), fleet reliability and safety incident trends and to initiate any actions necessary to address emerging issues.

Qualification & Working Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace / Aeronautical / Aircraft / Mechanical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 2 - 4 years of experience. Strong understanding of aircraft structures and landing gear, including materials, stress analysis, engineering drawings, and repair methods. Effective communication, both written and verbal, is crucial for collaborating with other CAMO stakeholders, OEMs and Engineering teams such as Base/Line Maintenance. Familiarity with aviation regulations and requirements related to aircraft structures and maintenance.

Authorized to undertake technical evaluations, liaise with OEMs, and implement corrective measures related to aircraft structures.
