Executive (Writer) \xe2\x80\x93 Corporate Communications & Public Relations

Reporting

The writer will report to the Vice President of Corporate Communications & Public Relations.

Responsibilities:

-Prepare Collaterals including press releases, speeches, media briefings, Q&As, social media postings and any other content which aligns with the business\' objectives
-Organise, coordinate and execute PR events and campaigns. Build and maintain strong relationships with social, online, print and broadcast media and influencers/KOLs.
-Assist in managing, developing and implementing effective PR strategies to increase brand equity in all targeted markets and achieve business goals.
-Assist in managing and formulating plan for media coverage, align calendars and resolve any media issues that may arise.
-Prepare communication materials and handle media related matters during a crisis.
-Monitor, compile and translate the news and media coverage of the organisation.
-Perform routine administrative tasks such as drafting memos, meeting minutes, department reports, emails and formal letters.
-Perform any other duties or tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

-Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations/Journalism or equivalent.
-At least 2 years of working experience in the Media/Public Relations field.
-Very strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
-Familiar and knowledgeable on the latest trends and news media environment in Malaysia.
-Possess extensive media and influencers/KOL contacts with proven success in PR campaigns and achieving media coverage.
-Possess excellent organisational and planning skills to execute campaign and events with attention to details. Knowledgeable in crisis communication is an added advantage.
