Kuala Lumpur - Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia, Petaling Jaya - Selangor - Malaysia The CBRE design team communicates marketing objectives and business insights through the use of graphic elements, typography, design fundamentals and expert story telling. They are hyper-focused on creating world-class design solutions for a variety of platforms, channels and audiences. Art Directors assess, analyse, and propose creative strategies for multiple workstreams and projects within a dedicated line of business or region(s). They are responsible for the ideation and conception of innovative creative solutions and strategies that support internal and client-facing needs. Individuals in this role are empowered to try new ideas, generate sketches, visualize concepts and communicate clear design intent via their compelling design solutions. This role serves as a critical member of the creative team by developing world-class design and strategies that resonate with our clients and help build lasting brand equity across our portfolio. Maintaining a consistent brand image and crafting high quality creative solutions while staying organized, on time and budget are essential. This role directly partners with Marketing management and key stakeholders to determine / translate client objectives, reach consensus on creative strategies, and develop plans for success. As a subject matter expert, Art Directors proactively lend their support, guidance and mentorship to upskill junior members of the creative team. Essential Duties And Responsibilities In close collaboration with marketing leadership they oversee and manage team workloads and improvement initiatives. They concept, create and oversee the production of superior creative in both print and digital format. They are responsible for ensuring design assignments are launched effectively and have clearly articulated the vision and overall design ask. They maintain regular check-in\'s with more junior / less-experienced designers throughout the life cycle of an assignment to ensure client needs are met with exceptional results on time and within budget. Responsible for consistently delivering on all phases of an assignment, and can adeptly support junior and/or less-experienced designers on the front-end of their projects (i.e. helps drive and put ideas together, helps flesh them out, shows the visual path / roadway for success, supports them with sketching and/or mock-ups for operational delivery, etc.) Communicates across cross-functional partners to update project timelines and report on progress. As tasks are completed, Art Directors ensure that deliverables meet client standards and are cohesively packaged for delivery. In a client facing role, they must be prepared to present and tackle highly technical questions and feedback. They are able to take client feedback and effectively translate it back to the team for any necessary updates, revisions and/or improvements. Leverages broad knowledge and technical expertise to coordinate mechanical production of final deliverable outputs. Is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, utilize resources, identify and address problems and meet deadlines. Works closely with marketing management and cross-functional partners (i.e. brokers, research, etc.) to translate insights and give creative direction / inspiration to junior members of the team. Formally provides guidance and mentorship to junior level staff including delegating tasks and serving as a point of quality control. Partners with local and regional leadership on high profile assignments and initiatives. Facilitates creative community calls, and drafts expertly crafted creative briefs. Assists in the presentation of items to internal / external clients and stakeholders as needed. Maintains the production process for art, looking for efficiencies and increased alignment. Is responsible for staying current with emerging trends and technologies while ensuring the creative product meets creative vision. They are able to expertly build and deploy resources that help elevate the overall creative process. Helps maintain the overall quality and accuracy of assigned projects, workstreams and business areas. Keeps the team properly aligned and helps guides designers through brainstorming and ideation sessions. Provides valuable employee and team development through technical leadership, meaningful feedback, timely criticism, and ongoing mentorship. Can easily shift gears and effectively navigate fast-paced environments with multiple priorities. Prepares and keeps creative & marketing management updated on project timelines and deliverables. May occasionally present work to clients in a clear and eloquent way as assigned by creative & marketing management. Serves as back-up to Senior Art Directors as a technical resource for presentations in collaboration with creative management. Serves as a leader in the creative community space, and shares technical expertise, design best practices, conceptual approaches and workflow optimizations. Is able to indirectly manage and elevate the growth of less experienced team members around them. Assists in the hiring of creative talent at the local / regional level and acts as expert for the creative needs of a team (i.e. onboarding new hires, providing trainings, framework guidance, etc.). Performs other duties as assigned. Education And Experience Bachelor\'s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four-year college or university in Geography or a related field, plus a minimum of 7+ years related work experience (equivalent work experience = 1 year of experience for every 2 years of higher-level education). Master\'s Degree is preferred. Has prior proven experience managing people informally / formally. Has a masterful knowledge of design principles, trends, tools and technologies Has a superior knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, CBRE tools, technologies and services. Communications Ability to comprehend, analyse, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Other Skills And Abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Must have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus). Visually stunning, cutting-edge portfolio not only showcasing a strong eye, but also strong storytelling and problem-solving abilities. Ability to represent production as a skilled, senior level subject matter expert; experience in presenting an informed point-of-view and technical expertise to a project team. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and Dreamweaver. Ability to multitask and work on multiple campaigns at once. Able to lead projects from concept to completion with little direction and with ambiguous requests. Creative eye for unique & different techniques/solutions with the willingness to teach other members of the team. Strong communication and project management skills. Service line: None
