For more information, visit: \xe2\x80\x9dAbout the PositionThe Facilities Manager will be responsible to oversee all building-related activities including to preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning. The post holder will be well-organized and able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. • Knowledge of United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) principles surrounding facilities is a must.

• Responsible for setting UNGC sustainability goals and implementing them and reporting in compliance to UNGC rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of carbon emissions control, accounting and reporting is a must.
• Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.
• Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
• Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
• Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
• Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff.
• Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments.
• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
• Inspect buildings\xe2\x80\x99 structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
• Supervise all facilities related staff (cleaners, gardeners, security guards etc.) and external contractors.
• Control activities like waste disposal, building security etc.
• Allocate office space according to needs.
• Perform analysis and forecasting.
• Review and coming up with new Facilities policies and procedures.
• Have knowledge of hosting meetings and events supporting DG\xe2\x80\x99s office.

RequirementsThe successful candidate will have:

• At least a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in facility management, engineering, business administration or a relevant field.
• Knowledgeable in Malaysian OSH Management System, the standards, and specifications.
• Certificate in NIOSH will be an added advantage.
• Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant position.
• Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Good analytical/critical thinking.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Able to suggest and recommend positive solutions when needed to resolve issues on repair and maintenance.
