Perform the duties of an authorized person, as per latest Electricity Supply Regulation\'s requirements (Electrical Engineer) or latest Steam Supply Regulation\'s requirements (Steam Engineer). . To responsible in designing, installation, testing and commissioning of new electrical/ steam installation. . Responsible and oversees the functioning, maintenance and review of all facilities equipment, buildings, the operation of heating, air conditioning and ventilating systems. Responsible for all installation and modification of plant plumbing and electrical system, road maintenance, sewage system, solar system and chiller system. Continuously maintain the standard of safety so as to obviate danger as far as is reasonably practicable. . To provide technical support and assist Maintenance or other department whenever request. Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Implement all modification, additional, safety related items, etc, as per production or other support group requests or compliance of regulation requirements. Assesses and recommends changes to maintain compliance with related authorities. 2. Provide technical support, information, changes etc, necessary for an efficient operation of all plant machineries. 3. Plan, organize and supervise of contractors, vendors and craftsmen for all project and modification/upgrading related jobs plant wide. 4. Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance programs of electrical installation and equipment in order to minimized breakdown and ensure equipment are being maintained in safe operation condition. 5. Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve plant faults. 6. Study, evaluate and implement plant improvement projects to enhance overall plant reliability, availability and performance. 7. To plan and coordinate Electrical System Calibration and Maintenance comply to regulation. 8. Assist DGM - Engineering to prepare Facilities Yearly Budget for Electrical consumption and maintenance. 9. Manage and coordinate plant engineering projects, including plant overhauls to ensure desired outcomes are achieved in a timely, efficiently and cost effective manner. 10. Perform and review condition monitoring program and recommend appropriate actions such as transformer 6.1 analysis, thermography, transformer loading ampere, etc. 11. Coordinate Facilities teams in performing scheduled plant inspection according to maintenance regime and execution of plant maintenance activities. 12. Conduct jobsite observations, field inspection or sub-metering to collect data for energy conservation analysis. 13. Identify energy saving opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation. 14. Conduct energy audit to evaluate energy use, costs or conservation measures. 15. Monitor and analyze energy consumption by area as required and provide report to Costing Department on monthly basis. 16. Oversee design or construction aspects related to energy such as solar system, energy management and sustainable design. 17. To manage all Service Contract including renewal of service contract, work schedule and follow p all outstanding issues arising from service report by contractor. 18. Procure the accessory spares, outside resources in liaison with Purchasing department for all engineering related activities. 19. Promote and maintain safety equipment as requested by Management such as safety shoes, uniforms, safety glasses, tags and googles. Observe safety rules and regulations set by Safety Committee or Engineering Department. 20. Ensure good and proper housekeeping after completion of job assigned in the workshop anywhere in the plant.
