\xef\xbb\xbfClient Background: ManufacturingIndustry : Food industryLocation: Simpang Renggam, Johor.Headcount: 1Position Title : Facility and Maintenance ManagerTenure: PermanentRemuneration: RM6,000 - RM9,000ResponsibilitiesFacility :\xc2\xb7 Lead and manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of plant facilities, including buildings, equipment (Boiler, Air Compressor, Cold Rooms, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Reverse Osmosis Plant), utilities, and infrastructure.\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and availability of critical equipment and systems.\xc2\xb7 Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to schedule and perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades as needed.\xc2\xb7 Monitor facility performance and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost effectiveness, and safety.\xc2\xb7 Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to facility management and safety.\xc2\xb7 Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address facility related incidents and ensure the safety of employees and the community.\xc2\xb7 Manage facility-related budgets, expenses, and capital projects in collaboration with the Plant Manager.\xc2\xb7 Provide leadership and guidance to facility management staff, including training, coaching, and performance management.\xc2\xb7 Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders on facility-related matters.\xc2\xb7 Support plant expansion, renovation, and construction projects as needed.\xc2\xb7 Perform any ad-hoc duties or assignment when assigned by Superior.Maintenance :\xc2\xb7 Implement and oversee a comprehensive equipment maintenance strategy aimed at minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.\xc2\xb7 Develop and execute timely responses to equipment breakdowns, ensuring uninterrupted operations for optimal functionality.\xc2\xb7 Lead a highly trained and skilled maintenance team, fostering a culture of efficiency in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues promptly.\xc2\xb7 Prioritize ongoing skill development to ensure the team stays abreast of the latest technologies and industry best practices.\xc2\xb7 Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.\xc2\xb7 Coordinate internal and external audits successfully, consistently meeting or exceeding established standards.\xc2\xb7 Manage an optimized equipment maintenance budget, striking a balance between cost effectiveness and the seamless functioning of the department.\xc2\xb7 Implement a streamlined spare parts inventory system to guarantee the timely availability of necessary components for maintenance and repairs.\xc2\xb7 Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with vendors to facilitate cost-effective maintenance services and sourcing of spare parts.\xc2\xb7 Negotiate favorable terms and agreements to enhance overall efficiency in the maintenance process.\xc2\xb7 Uphold a supportive work environment that encourages open communication, teamwork and innovation.\xc2\xb7 Recognize and reward outstanding performance within the maintenance team.\xc2\xb7 Plan and execute opportunities for skills enhancement, career development, and professional growth through training and mentorship programs.\xc2\xb7 Foster active participation and input from technicians and engineers in decision-making processes, problem-solving initiatives and improvement.Requirement\xc2\xb7 Candidate must possess at least Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities\xc2\xb7 Management, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant facilities management or related role, with at least 3\xc2\xb7 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\xc2\xb7 Strong technical knowledge of building systems, equipment maintenance, and utility operations.\xc2\xb7 Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\xc2\xb7 Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.\xc2\xb7 Experience with regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.\xc2\xb7 Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to facility emergencies as needed.Sub Specialization : Engineering;Food Technology
