Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of all building systems and infrastructure. This role supports facility planning, project execution, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and implementation of sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day facility operations including maintenance, building systems, infrastructure, and housekeeping. Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments; recommend corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety and compliance. Assist in planning, budgeting, and executing facility improvement and expansion projects. Review and prepare engineering layouts, technical drawings, and related documentation. Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and support investment proposals for facility upgrades. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and SOPs aligned with operational, legal, and ISO requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, RBA). Ensure compliance with local regulations and liaise with authorities such as DOSH, DOE, and Bomba. Support emergency preparedness, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and disaster response. Monitor and coordinate work by external contractors and service providers (cleaning, security, landscaping), ensuring EOHS compliance. Implement energy efficiency, sustainability, and green building initiatives. Maintain building security systems, access control, and surveillance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Facilities Engineering or related field. 3-5 years' experience in facilities or building engineering, maintenance, or project management. Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance. Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage contractors effectively.
