Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• To operate facility equipment in good order to ensure smooth production running.
• To supervise a group of vendors in maintaining and servicing the chilled water system,

CDA system, and boiler system with high efficiency and reliability.

• To represent the company as a competent person to handle and operate the site\'s

electrical system as required under Akta Bekalan Elektrik.

• To carry out all the assigned preventive maintenance works and to maintain all facilities,

equipment, and rooms in tip-top condition.

• To participate actively in all ERT-related activities and assume the role of an ERT member

in a real emergency.

• To provide technical expertise to support facility-related systems from time to time.
• To carry out daily checking and logging of all equipment for trend study and analysis.
• To ensure continuous operation and consistency of facility systems such as clean room,

air-conditioning, ventilation, and electrical systems, CDA and N2 supply, DI water,
wastewater, steam supply, and all other facility systems

• To provide prompt support and services to all internal customers.
• To maintain excellent visual appearance of buildings by constantly correcting any building

defect that may arise from time to time.

• To assist the immediate supervisor in the monthly tracking of the preventive maintenance

schedule checklist for facility equipment and updating the master Gantt chart.

• To conduct weekly audits on facility utilities, equipment, and installation and provide

feedback on finding.

• To maintain internal and external facility equipment and utilities in good condition
• To maintain an electricity consumption tracking record for the DI, WWTP, and utility

buildings, and on the TNB/NUR voltage dip incidents on a weekly basis.

• To lead and supervise vendors\' employees to deliver high-quality facilities services and

utility support to all internal customers.

• To be responsible for operating and maintaining all facility systems on-site.
• To represent the Facility Department to attend to utilities provided by visiting consultants

and various government agency officials, such as DOE, DOSH, BOMBA, PBT, AELB, and
Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), during their periodical visits to FEM.

• Any other duties that may be related to the safety of FEM employees or to ensure the

smooth operation of production activities that may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• A recognized certificate in Electrical Engineering with Chargeman Qualification
• At least 1 year hands-on experience handling facilities\' mechanical and electrical systems
• Good interpersonal skills within the department and also outside the department.

Fuji Electric (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (FEM) was incorporated in February 1996. Located in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah Darul Aman and covering a total land area of about 86,000 square meters. Earlier operations include substrate production and media magnetic disk production. In March 2008, Fuji Electric Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was established for the manufacturing of industrial Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) modules.

On 1st April 2015, the magnetic disk and power semiconductor businesses were merged under one entity \xe2\x80\x93 Fuji Electric (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd to further strengthen FEM\xe2\x80\x99s business operation in Malaysia. Currently, the Semiconductor IGBT module is the main product of FEM.

In Aug 2021 Fuji Electric Japan announced a new investment of about JPY25 billion (RM945 million) for the expansion of FEM\xe2\x80\x99s Semiconductor Plant in Malaysia to focus on the production of 8-inch silicon wafers for the IGBT power semiconductor products, which are used to manage power flows in air conditioners, electric vehicles, solar and more.

FEM has embarked on the pursuit of outstanding quality products with minimal impact on the environment, and was awarded with ISO9001:2015 in March 2017, followed by ISO14001:2015 in August 2017.
