Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of a global leading medical imaging company. As business growth and expansion continues, our respected client is seeking an experienced engineer within the field of medical imaging for the role of Field Service Engineer. The opportunity is based in Selangor, Malaysia.

You will be responsible for offering support to customers using the company\'s imaging and X-ray products. The primary responsibilities include delivering remote phone and on-site technical support, conducting system installations, providing customer training, and preparing technical reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment problems, implementing corrective actions.
  • Installing equipment and delivering training to customer employees for optimal utilization and care.
  • Handling installation and maintenance for general X-ray floor and ceiling mounts, CR, and laser imagers.
  • Communicating efficiently with project coordinators on X-ray system room planning, providing daily updates on installation status.
  • Performing preventive maintenance, thoroughly checking equipment for faults or wear, and ensuring compliance with manufacturers\' operation specifications.
  • Accurately completing all paperwork related to installation, repair, and system maintenance.
  • Travel across Malaysia to conduct service tasks and attend overseas training centres when required, ensuring maximum equipment utilization for customers.
  • Order and manage repair parts cycle times, optimizing parts usage/ordering from both the Company\'s and the customer\'s perspectives.
  • Keep all Company property, including tools and test equipment, in optimum condition.
  • Utilize the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues.
  • Keep management and sales staff fully informed about all developments in the installed base.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction by providing updates on activities when on-site or working on their behalf.
  • Regularly report to management following established reporting guidelines and procedures.
  • Follow the alert procedure for system downtime.
  • Coordinate spare parts and system escalation for customers in Malaysia.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Diploma or Degree in electro-mechanical engineering or a related field from a recognized college or university.
  • Experienced in equipment service, preferably in medical imaging, graphic printing, X-ray systems, or related industries.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of digital technology and electronics.
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting skills and fault-finding techniques.
  • Preferably, possess a sound understanding of the Health Sector Technical Service industry, including key products, channels, and technologies.
  • Show accountability for effectively achieving assigned goals.
  • Have broad technical skills with a high level of exposure to digital technology and printing equipment.
  • Have experience in interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution-based service process.
  • Possess high-level Windows & NT PC skills, along with knowledge of networking and workflow fundamentals.
  • Must be willing and able to travel when required.
