The RESTORING LANDS AND LIVELIHOODS IN VIETNAM (RESTORE PROJECT) aims at restoring degraded agricultural and forest land, while improving smallholder farmers (SHFs)\xe2\x80\x99 livelihoods through the market-driven promotion of agroforestry and forestry-based sustainable land management practices. The project is also expected to sequester carbon dioxide and generate carbon credits, which will be distributed among the project funder (AstraZeneca), the participating communities and the project leader. Moreover, the project will improve biodiversity and green corridors in the landscape by connecting mixed agricultural crops/trees, buffer zones and enriching core zones of protected areas (special-use forests).SNV Vietnam is now seeking a dynamic and highly motivated the Field Support Officer to support the implementation of the RESTORE project in Lam Dong Province.JOB PURPOSEUnder the management of the SNV Project Manager/Deputy Project Manager, the Consultant will be based in Da Lat/Son La office and responsible for helping local government (PPC, DARD, DONRE, DPC, CPCs\xe2\x80\xa6), forest owners, key partners and key stakeholders (such as companies, NGOs, development partner agencies etc.); preparing logistics, budget, organizing the field activities as well as brief reports on project activities; working closely with district, commune level and local village communities, private sectors.Field coordinationThe Field Support Officers\xe2\x80\x99 tasks will include providing support to Project coordinators in preparation and implementation of the project activities on the ground, working closely with local communities, government, project partners and key stakeholders (such as provincial governmental units, companies, NGOs, development partner agencies etc.).Establishing and strengthening relationshipsThe candidate will be expected to be actively involved and contributed to strengthen working relationships with key partners to ensure smooth implementation, including with government agencies at provincial, district, and communal levels, as well as with other key partners and stakeholders such as development partners/projects, farmers, smallholders, and local communities.Organising project activities/field work
