Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger (GL).
Financial reporting:
Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports for management.
Reconciliation:
Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors, and creditors.
Budgeting and forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monitor financial performance against budget.
Compliance:
Help with tax compliance, manage SST reports, and assist with external audits.
Cash flow management:
Monitor and manage the organization's cash flow.
Cost analysis:
Monitor and analyze costs, including production, material, and labor costs, and recommend cost-control measures (especially in roles with a costing focus).
Required qualifications and skills
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required. Professional certifications like CPA are a plus.
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting is often needed, though entry-level positions are available for fresh graduates.
Technical skills:
Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as SAP, and Microsoft Office is necessary.
Analytical skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for analyzing financial data and identifying trends.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are important for working with internal teams and external auditors.
Attention to detail:
A meticulous and detail-oriented approach is critical for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
Familiar with SQL will be added advantage
