About the Role

Ensure Financial Closing and Reporting is completed timely and in accordance with established accounting standard and AIA Group\xe2\x80\x99s policy and requirement for Takaful.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journals for monthly closing for MFRS 17 and identify area for improvement and simplify the process.
• Prepare monthly analytical review of financial results under MFRS 17.
• Assist in preparing the interim and annual financial statement and regulatory reporting related to MFRS 17.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements or on an ad-hoc basis.
• Assist to attend or respond to enquiries/liaison with External Auditors, tax consultants, regulators and other statutory bodies
• Assist the team lead on any other Finance related matters, where applicable.

Minimum Job Requirements

• A recognized Degree in Accounting or Professional Accountancy Qualification, with at least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel and SAP are added advantage.
• Able to work under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Analytical and good problem solving skills.
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good team player who is keen to learn.
