VERTENZ is seeking a passionate and reliable Accounts & Finance Intern who's eager to gain real, hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and retail operations. Whether you're currently studying accounting or finance, or have practical experience in bookkeeping, inventory, or admin, this role offers valuable exposure and learning opportunities in a fast-paced fashion business.
This is not your typical internship. You'll be involved in actual business operations from handling full set accounts and managing stock records to supporting financial reporting and day-to-day office tasks. What You'll Be Involved In
Assist in preparing full set of accounts, including journals, ledgers, invoices, and monthly reports
Support in month-end closing and preparing documents for audits
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of cash balances
Assist in preparing monthly financial summaries and cash flow reports
Support budget tracking and monitor day-to-day business expenses
Help maintain and analyze sales performance, cost data, and business trends
Track and report on online sales performance and other key financial metrics
Support pricing and cost review processes for both online and offline channels
Help maintain inventory accuracy, monitor stock movement, and reconcile discrepancies
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of financial transactions
Maintain neat and organised financial and operational records
Assist with general admin tasks, paperwork, and coordination
Support company events and retail activities when needed
Take on ad hoc projects to support operations and improve efficiency
What We're Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
SPM/STPM leavers with relevant experience in bookkeeping or administrative work are encouraged to apply
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
Strong attention to detail, comfortable with numbers, and proactive in identifying and solving problems
Dependable, trustworthy, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Eager to learn, grow professionally, and take on hands-on responsibilities
Available for a minimum 3-month placement
Must be based in or able to work on-site in Kuala Lumpur
