Our client is a prominent legal firm based in Penang. They are rapidly expanding their firm and are seeking great talent to join their organization.
What you will be doing:
Responsible to supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day activities, include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing , verifying, and reporting information.
Key Functions
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
month and end-year process
accounts payable/receivable
cash receipts
general ledger
payroll and utilities
treasury, budgeting
cash forecasting
revenue and expenditure variance analysis
capital assets reconciliations
trust account statement reconciliations,
check runs
fixed asset activity
debt activity
2. Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
3. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
4. Coordinate and complete annual audits.
5. Provide recommendations & training subordinates.
6. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
7. Handle AMLA compliance submission and documentation.
8. Meet financial accounting objectives.
9. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
10. Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.
11. Participating in industry-related events or associations that will enhance the leadership skills, the organizations reputation, and the organizations potential for success .
12. Prepare Annual Budgeting, Business Forecast & Profit and loss for different divisions. Generating monthly profit & loss reporting for different divisions to assist respective divisions in monitoring their respective KPIs achievement.
13. Responsible for clients' onboarding KYC compliance procedure.
14. Responsible for Induction and recruitment of new team members.
15. Building good rapport with all colleagues in the company and ensure to address any existing/potential HR issues, report and update the partners with solutions.
What will it take to succeed:
Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance.
Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to direct and supervise.
Five years or more of related experience is required in finance and HR field.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
