Job Description

You are responsible to be in charge of General Accounting of the company, overseeing financial reporting, budget management, and compliance with accounting standards.You will be responsible to

• Lead the General Ledger (GL) team in preparing comprehensive manufacturing accounts and collaborate with the Costing, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams, ensuring monthly financial reports are analyzed and submitted within tight deadlines.
• Prepare and distribute all other financial reports after month-end closure to relevant departments and stakeholders.
• Ensure all inter company balances are reconciled and prepare weekly and monthly debtor statements for inter company sales invoice settlements.
• Develop the annual budget and monthly forecast of income statements.
• Manage tax computations, deferred tax, and the filing of the company's annual tax return.
• Handle the submission and payment of the company's Sales Tax report, ensuring SST compliance and transaction improvements.
• Prepare statistical reports for Bank Negara Malaysia and the Department of Statistics Malaysia on a quarterly and monthly basis.
• Coordinate the annual financial year-end audit, prepare the audited financial statement, and work with external auditors to ensure adherence to Malaysia's Financial Reporting Standards.
• Set goals for subordinates, closely monitor performance, and implement improvement plans to close any performance gaps.
• Ensure effective internal controls are in place to promote efficiency, safeguard assets, and prevent fraud or errors.
• Assist with other accounting functions as required and any additional duties assigned by superiors.

• Hold a degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in handling full set account, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrates high integrity, independence, strong leadership abilities, and excellent analytic and communication skills, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proactive, quick to learn, self-motivated, and able to multitask, with a performance-driven mindset.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience using ERP systems such as JDE being a plus.
