BAT KL IS LOOKING FOR A FINANCE CONTROLLERSHIP TEAM LEAD SENIORITY LEVEL Non- management FUNCTION GBS Finance SALARY RANGE Market salary + Excellent benefits + Market leading bonus LOCATION Sunway Geo, Kuala Lumpur ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES The Team Lead will take responsibility for the preparation of the statutory and management accounting reporting process, and for the reasonableness of the various financial reports, which include financial statements, information package supporting various decision points from the IBPM process. The objective of this role is to enable the FSSCs to meet their business objectives by providing quality general accounting analysis and overall business support for end markets. Reports to Corporate Finance Manager Reporting Level N/A What You Will Be Accountable For Serve as an independent contributor for a component of the Record to Report function inclusive of, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Reconciliations, Month End Close, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management reporting, Product Costing data integrity and quality Perform specific tasks allocated by the line manager in the area of integrity, quality and reasonableness of the management and statutory reporting processes Ensure month end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actuals) are performed on time Prepares additional financial information to meet the disclosure requirements of BAT\'s statutory reporting on financial statements Preparation of journal (JVU) for any ad-hoc request and commentary on a monthly basis Balance sheet opened items management and preparing balance sheet reconciliation review with senior stakeholders Support the manager on external audit Support in implementing internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting Participate in Continuous Improvements (CI) initiatives in order to enhance efficiency & effectiveness, using external benchmarks for World in Class units Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge Accounting or finance qualification At least 2 - 4 years of experience in global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment Understand the impact of the accounting process and practices Understand the platforms and analyse reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data Understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge A good understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent Able to drive projects and process improvements and handle a remote/virtual customer base model Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls BENEFICIAL Strong Communication Skills. Computer Literate SAP/Power BI/ Microsoft Excel Improvement initiatives implemented and efficiency improvements demonstrated.
