Job Description

Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Review and analyse financial performance, project costing, and variance reports to support management decision-making.

Manage cash flow planning, forecasting, and treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity for operations and capital projects.

Budgeting & Strategic Planning

Lead the annual budget preparation process and ensure alignment with corporate and project objectives.

Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to management on cost optimization, capital expenditure, and profitability improvement.

Support long-term business planning and investment appraisals.

Compliance & Internal Control

Ensure adherence to local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including those specific to the oil and gas industry.

Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies, ensuring all financial filings and audits are completed accurately and on time.

Leadership & Team Development

Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to enhance technical and professional capabilities of team members.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and project teams to ensure financial compliance and operational efficiency.
