Job Description

• Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate financial reports for events, including tax and statutory compliance.
• Handle financial reporting, forecasting, and month-end closing for book fair events.
• Manage accounts receivable and cash flow to support event operations.
• Lead budgeting for annual and event-specific needs with regular updates.
• Analyze budgets, address variances, and provide financial insights for event planning.
• Maintain relationships with bankers, auditors, and tax authorities for smooth operations.
• Perform data analysis and financial modeling for event decisions.
• Review project plans, provide financial input, and manage ad-hoc requests.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations for event finances.
• Process timely and accurate payments for event vendors.
• Track financial performance, spending, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with auditors to ensure efficient event finance audits.
• Travel to book fairs to manage cash, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Partner with the event team to provide P&L support, forecasts, and financial analysis.

• Bachelor's or Professional Degree (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
• Retail industry experience is a plus.
• Open to traveling and working extra hours during events.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to handle pressure independently.
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, innovative, and positive.
• Proactive, organized, and excellent in communication.
• Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
