• Review & verify transactions related to fixed assets in the system are captured accurately.
• Ensure that capitalization of fixed assets is performed on a timely basis and are in compliance with Steelcase capitalization guidelines.
• Processing disposals of assets in the system based on request.
• Posting of Journal entries for capturing sales tax on assets or for purpose of reclassification.
• Corresponding to queries on matters relating to fixed asset management.
• Preparation of fixed assets related reports on a timely basis.
• Ensuring that all internal furniture transactions are captured on a monthly basis.
• Managing and monitoring the creation, maintenance and closure of Projects / WBS for Capital and Operating expenditures.
• Support both Steelcase entities in North America and Asia Pacific.
• Initiate and participate in process improvement/standardization for Fixed Asset Accounting.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and reporting as and when required.

• 3-4 years experience in computer-based Accounting systems/environment, preferably with SAP accounting skill.
• Good Microsoft office excel knowledge and attentive to detail.
• Strong analytical mind, able to relate well between work processes and systems.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision, proactive and with positive working attitude.
• Excellent writing and communication skill with business partners.
• Experience Property Accounting or General Ledger function will be added advantage.
• Willing to be on 6 months contract for maternity cover.
