Job Description

Our client is a well-known Conglomerate Company. Currently, they are looking for Finance Controller to join their team. Reporting to the Director, this role will be heading the financial health for Malaysia\'s group business.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, oversee and manage the group finance operation (financial reporting, management reporting, financial planning & analysis, budgetary, cash flow planning and treasury, tax).
• Liaise closely with relevant business unit and ensure timely statutory reporting submission.
• Ensure full compliance of relevant accounting standards and corporate governance guidelines on public listed company.
• Provides timely business financial analysis and identify potential business risk for business decision making purpose.
• Present monthly financial performance to board of directors.
• Identify cost saving / profit maximizing initiatives to improve business performance.
• Continuously improve and implement financial and operating controls to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the overall business operations.
• Ensure full compliance with statutory and audit requirements, taxation and all legislative requirements at all times.
• Work closely with the management team to co-ordinate and prepare the budgets, management reports, provide advice for review and monthly tracking expenditure against set budget of the various business unit for future/potential exposure to the organisation.
• Responsible for financial modelling and analysis, cash management and treasury duties and ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.

Job Requirements

• Min degree, CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualification.
• Min 9-10 years of working experience in controlling role.
• Bursa reporting experience is required.
• Audit background will be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal & communication skills with good business acumen & strategic thinking.
• Highly-motivated, results-oriented, and forward-thinking leader/team player with good work ethic, credibility, and sense of integrity.
