We are looking for a Fire Life Safety Manager who will be responsible for the reliable operation of equipment and effective performance of all life safety systems within the property. This position reports to the Director of Engineering / Director of Safety & Security and will be responsible for training all hotel staff in life safety related issues to a level consistent with the relevant needs to their function in the hotel.

Job Summary

• Responsible for Life Safety Equipment & Systems Operation, Maintenance & Testing including \xe2\x80\x9clog keeping books\xe2\x80\x9d/certification.
• Conducting Life Safety Training of all hotel staff to the appropriate level.
• Supervising hotel fire and smoke compartments, including all escape ways.
• Monitoring of hotel performance against the requirements of the Shangri-La Group\'s Safety & Loss Manual, reporting deviations & recommending corrective measures needed.

Requirement

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering discipline / Building Services
• 2 years\' working experience in any industrial concern (i.e., in electrical services) / in fire engineering of firefighting or in hotel engineering division. Preferably, work experience in facilities management.
• Pass the assessment conducted by Shangri-La Group Engineering.
• To pass FLSM certification assessment:

• Registered, licensed, or certified by state or local authority to perform fire safety engineering or
• Certified by nationally recognized certification organization or
• Has developed competence through training and experience.
• Oral and written fluency in English and local language
• Tactful, goals oriented and a self-starter
