Fixed Assets Senior Analyst

Job Description


Leadership:

  • Deliver training to team member as requested and assist with the induction of new team members to ensure understanding of activities and responsibilities.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members.
  • Independently able to research and resolve issues.
  • Promoting a team environment by assisting colleagues whenever necessary.
  • Work closely with CFS O2C, P2P & IC team and local sites to ensure all month end deliverables are met.
Innovation:
  • Assist in decision support and financial analysis for the management to identify opportunities to improve the company\xe2\x80\x99s financial and operational performance.
  • Propose, lead, integrate and develop continuous improvements on accounting/close processes.
  • Assist with system testing ensuring internal controls issues are detected, reported and working as required and assist team with systems issues and raise service desk tickets.
  • Work in various projects, in various capacities, as requested by Management from time to time.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least an Advanced Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance / Accounting or any professional qualification.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position. (Preferably in Shared Service environment).
  • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail, self-starter, quick learner, independent and team player with ability to drive initiatives and change
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of commitment
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment, high level of integrity, initiative and a sense of urgency
  • Operating knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office application particularly Excel and Words
  • Excellent negotiation & communication skills in English
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin or foreign languages is added advantage
SPECIFIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE - FIXED ASSETS

Ensure all fixed assets close activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guides and policies.
  • Responsible for providing support on Fixed Assets Reporting. This will include: -
Well versed in Fixed Assets month end closing process. Record capital accruals and fixed assets related entries (acquisition/sales of assets/write-off). Review and record entries for asset transfers between companies. Reconcile fixed asset sub ledger to general ledger. Well versed in Asset Under Construction accounting process.
  • Ad hoc inquiries & projects on fixed asset matters & support specific fixed asset reporting requested by Local Finance and Corporate team.
  • Experienced in SAP or other ERP fixed asset module is preferred.
