POSITION - FLEET & TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR, FLEET MANAGEMENT

Key Responsibilities / :

Plan and coordinate servicing and preventive maintenance for prime movers and trailers to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime. Arrange PUSPAKOM inspection appointments and prepare vehicles accordingly to meet compliance requirements before the expiry date. Manage the timely renewal of Malaysia road tax and Singapore ROV permit for all vehicles. Handle applications and renewals for Kastam Bonded permits in compliance with customs regulations. Manage control and optimize truck utilization and availability to ensure operational efficiency. Issue purchase orders (PO) and work orders to vendors for maintenance, repairs, and services. Maintain accurate documentation and filing for all repair work, ensuring proper record-keeping and traceability. Manage inventory and safekeeping of documents, truck tools, safety equipment, and spare parts. Coordinate and respond to truck breakdowns, incidents, emergencies, and rescue operations promptly and effectively. Analyze and manage diesel consumption to improve fuel efficiency and reduce operating costs. Manage and control Tire management, including usage, rotation, and replacement scheduling. Review and verify drivers' Pre-Drive Checks (PDC) to ensure vehicle readiness and compliance. Conduct routine inspections of trucks and trailers to identify issues and ensure safety standards are met. Ensure full compliance with road transport regulations, safety standards, and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Prepare, update, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet operations and technical performance.

Cost-Saving Initiatives

Ensure that all variable operating costs and running expenses are controlled and maintained within the approved budget. Proactively plan and implement cost-saving measures in daily operations. Manage and analyze fuel consumption to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements. Source and negotiate better rates and services from subcontractors and third-party service providers to reduce costs without compromising quality.

Relationship Building & Networking

Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations teams, drivers) and external partners (e.g., subcontractors, service providers, and customers) to ensure smooth and effective fleet operations

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
