This position reports to the General Manager. Due to work permit restrictions, this position is only open for Malaysian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Malaysia.Customer Service\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all employees deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that employees also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.\xc2\xb7 Spends time in public areas observing employee-guest interaction and talking with guests, works to coach employees in guest service skills as necessary.\xc2\xb7 Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.\xc2\xb7 Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.Administration\xc2\xb7 Ensures that the Food and Beverage activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.\xc2\xb7 Oversees the preparation and update of individual Departmental Operations Manuals.\xc2\xb7 Conducts regular divisional communications meetings and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.\xc2\xb7 Ensures the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage Department.Marketing\xc2\xb7 Assists in the preparation, utilisation and update of the Annual Marketing Plan, broken down as necessary by department.\xc2\xb7 Evaluates local, national and international market trends, vendors and other hotel/restaurant operations constantly to make sure that the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s operations remain competitive and cutting edge.\xc2\xb7 Encourages Heads of Department to look for Marketing and Public Relations opportunities to increase awareness and ultimately business.Operational\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all company minimum brand standards have been implemented, and that optional brand standards have been implemented where appropriate.\xc2\xb7 Monitors all operations, especially during peak business periods, working through to make adjustments where necessary.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all Touches of Hyatt and the Food and Beverage Top 20 are implemented.\xc2\xb7 Ensures to respond to the results of the Consumer Audit and to ensure that the relevant changes are implemented.\xc2\xb7 Works closely with other Managers and Head of Departments members in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that Food and Beverage employees work in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of \xe2\x80\x9cWe work through Teams\xe2\x80\x9d.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all employees are up to date with the availability of seasonal and new products on the market.\xc2\xb7 Tastes and monitors the food and beverage products served throughout the operation, provides feedback where appropriate.Personnel\xc2\xb7 Assists in the recruitment and selection of all Food and Beverage employees. Ensures that team follow hotel guidelines when recruiting and use a competency-based approach to selecting their employees.\xc2\xb7 Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Food and Beverage employees, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department\xe2\x80\x99s grooming standards.\xc2\xb7 Maximises the effectiveness team by developing each of their skills and abilities through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.\xc2\xb7 Conducts the Check In Conversation with department associates, supports them in their professional development goals.\xc2\xb7 Assists in the development of Departmental Trainers through ongoing feedback and monthly meetings.\xc2\xb7 Ensures the implementation of effective training programmes for their associates.\xc2\xb7 Oversees the preparation and posting of weekly work schedules in each department, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.\xc2\xb7 Encourages employees to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognising them for their contribution to the success of the operation.\xc2\xb7 Supports the implementation of The Hyatt Strategy, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt\xe2\x80\x99s Purpose \xe2\x80\x93 We care for people so they can be their best.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to employee rules and regulations.\xc2\xb7 Ensures that employees follow all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to fire and hazard safety, and security.\xc2\xb7 Feedbacks on the results of the Colleague Experience Survey and ensures relevant changes are implemented.Qualifications:A qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in a Hotel\'s Assistant Manager / Manager roleAdditional certifications in food safety, alcohol service, or other relevant areas can be beneficial.
