Freelance Accountant (Part-Time)

Job Overview

We are looking for a Freelance Accountant to help with daily accounts, tax submissions, and financial planning. You will make sure our records are correct, follow Malaysian rules, and give us reports to guide business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, payments). Maintain accurate ledgers and company accounts. Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare basic financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet). Ensure proper documentation for audit purposes. Support company secretary matters when required.

Use accounting software (SQL System) for account management.

Manage E-Invoicing implementation and compliance.

o

Handle SST (Sales & Service Tax) submissions.

o

Maintain compliance with Malaysian accounting standards.

Qualifications

Experience in maintaining accounts for SMEs or construction-related businesses.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in SQL accounting systems. Familiarity with SQL System or similar accounting software. Strong understanding of SST and Malaysian tax compliance.

Financial Expertise

Demonstrated ability to create financial projections, costing models, and revenue forecasts. Strong budgeting and financial planning skills. Experience with P&L management, reconciliations, and management accounts. Knowledge of month-end/year-end closing procedures.

Personal Attributes

Detail-oriented and accurate. Reliable and able to meet deadlines. Independent and self-motivated. Strong communication skills for reporting.
