Job Description




Responsibilities

Directs and co-ordinates all subordinate Front Office staff to ensure that all day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met.
Co-ordinate with housekeeping to ensure that rooms are serviced according to guest requirements and vacant rooms are cleaned according to arrival schedule.
Controls and monitors the room inventory to maximise the hotel yield ensuring strategically controlled overbooking at peak periods.
Controls the maintenance and updating of guest history files and disbursement of relevant information ensuring guest requests and preferences are implemented whenever possible.
Co-ordinates the procedures involved in the provision of guest in-room amenities.
Co-ordinates the procedures involved in guest recognition programmes, including VIP\xe2\x80\x99s.
Controls room rates implementing changes when necessary.
Conducts periodic checks on villas and public areas to monitor standards of maintenance and housekeeping.
Liaise with engineering to ensure swift responses to villa maintenance problems.
Ensures accurate and up to date information is available including tours and sightseeing, and implements booking procedures.
Ensures that all guest billing procedures are handled correctly, minimising rebates.
Liaises with the transportation company to ensure efficient guest transfers.
Liaises with Sales & Reservation Offices to maximise business opportunities and ensure efficient handling of room reservations.
Prepares, monitors and controls the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s annual Front Office budget.

Requirements

Tertiary education in related field, or full hospitality professional qualifications
Good English language skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team of individuals.
Previous experience managing a team of Front Office employees through motivation, coaching and development.
The ability to anticipate customer needs, multitask and change goals/direction quickly and multitask
Proven excellence in customer service.
Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
Activator/self-motivated to accomplish goals, with a strong sense of responsibility.
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
