Position Overview



We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft

Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV with a

strong focus on Financial Management. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs

with technical solutions, ensuring successful implementations, optimizations, and

ongoing support of ERP systems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities



-Lead functional workshops with finance stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.

-Design and configure Financial Management modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Budgeting, Consolidation, etc.) within Business Central/Dynamics NAV/D365.

-Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.

-Support full project lifecycle: requirements gathering, solution design, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support.

-Conduct system demonstrations and provide subject matter expertise on financial processes.

-Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business users to ensure seamless integration with other modules and third-party applications.

-Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and internal teams.

-Stay current with Microsoft ERP product roadmap, updates, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications



-Proven experience (5+ years) as a Functional Consultant in Microsoft Business Central, Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Dynamics NAV.

-Strong expertise in Financial Management modules and accounting principles.

-Solid understanding of finance processes such as multi-entity consolidations, intercompany transactions, and compliance requirements.

-Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, solution design, UAT, and end-user training.

-Ability to create clear documentation: functional specs, process flows, and training materials.

-Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.

-Microsoft certifications in Business Central/Dynamics NAV/D365 Finance (preferred).

-Experience in industries with complex financial structures (retail, manufacturing, distribution, services) is a plus.

-Knowledge of Malaysia's retail industry standards and regulations, including compliance with MFRS 16 (Leases) and other relevant Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.

-Familiarity with retail-specific ERP requirements such as inventory management, point-of-sale integration, and multi-channel retail operations.

-Understanding of GST/SST tax regulations applicable in Malaysia's retail sector.

-Ability to advise on localization and customization of Microsoft ERP solutions to meet Malaysia's retail industry needs.

-Experience in industries with complex financial structures (retail, manufacturing, distribution, services) is a plus.
