Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The General Ledger Executive will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the company's general ledger by ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, and reconciled. This role plays a key part in preparing accurate financial statements and supporting audit and compliance requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY :

Record, review, and post journal entries related to daily transactions, accruals, and adjustments. Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations including cash, inventory, intercompany balances, and other key accounts. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring deadlines are met. Maintain and update the chart of accounts in accordance with internal policies. Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards. Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and other finance functions for accurate transaction posting. Assist in preparing schedules for internal and external audits. Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or unusual transactions in the ledger. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards. Handle ad hoc finance tasks.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT:

Microsoft Office Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or other ERP platforms).

OTHER SKILSS REQUIREMENT :

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related roles. Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis. Experience in the retail or FMCG industry. Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location business environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
