General Manager Finance, Asia.

The General Manager Finance, Asia report to the Chief Finance Officer, Asia and serves as a Business Partner to the Regional Leadership Team. You will be the key liaison person for Asia to our Group Finance in Australia, supporting them in a balanced way to ensure optimal outcome is being achieved. Your duties include but not limited to the following:

Responsible for the financial and management reporting of the Asia region.

Manage and coordinate all aspects of operational accounting activities, overseeing the monthly closing process of the region and the preparation of other necessary accounting reports to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and informed reporting in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements.

Manage and coordinate approved general accounting practices for the designated area to ensure accounting, financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for control and management purposes.

Review financial and operating statements for Asia, providing technical direction in the analysis of information and overseeing the preparation of reports for management information and use.

Manage and coordinate the maintenance of company\xe2\x80\x99s financial records and information, overseeing the preparation of consolidated operating and financial statements.

Manage the performance and development of direct reports, assessing performance, developing technical training programs, coaching, and building the skill sets required to ensure that staff are adequately resourced to perform.

Requirements:

At least 10 years of relevant experience in similar role and capacity

Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related technical discipline which may include CA and/or CPA qualification, combined with advanced subject matter knowledge across the function and advanced people management skills.

Experience in developing business plans and implementing financial mechanisms, and/or sound commercial acumen and in-depth understanding of general and transactional accounting, cost accounting and reporting.

Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues, guide and coach others in the resolution of problems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to forge effective partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
