Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Assumes leadership of the business, overseeing profit and loss responsibilities, strategic planning, policies and goals, as well as budgeting for company operations and commercial activities. Evaluates and enhances business processes within each department, establishing mechanisms for policy and procedure implementation through analysis and collaborative efforts. Actively contributes to the development of organizational strategies by providing project management insights, analysis, and recommendations. Demonstrates vital skills in decision-making, analytical problem-solving, forecasting, budgeting, negotiation, communication, and evaluation. Manages and provides guidance to a capable leadership team, steering the comprehensive talent management agenda. Drives continuous enhancement of commercial and logistical operations, offering supervision, guidance, and motivation to boost department and manager performance. Assumes responsibility for understanding job requirements within the reporting structure and facilitating necessary training and development. Cultivates and maintains strategic connections, alliances, and partnerships with stakeholders, networks, partnerships, and government entities. Devises and executes comprehensive business plans, formulates cost-effective logistics operations, and undertakes business development endeavors. Implements effective retention strategies and ensures ongoing skill development for sustainable success across current and future business ventures. Directs and leads the entire organization towards realizing the companys mission, vision, strategy, goals, and objectives. Oversees the preparation of trend analysis and reports for various projects, progress updates, costs, revenue, and cost-income ratios, offering insights into the financial health of the business. Safeguards the precision and integrity of financial, commercial, and operational data. Key Duties: Trucking & Depots: Establishes and maintains logistics service provider relationships to drive continuous improvement and leads review processes to ensure sustained enhancements. Proactively manages all aspects of implementation, including supplier onboarding and transitions, addressing complex change management challenges. Negotiates competitive rates with major service providers across the organization. Revamps the existing rate update, adjustment, extension, and approval processes for efficiency gains. Achieves cost control, reduction, and containment targets, augmenting the value through a total cost of ownership approach and adept process management. Analyzes performance and proposes improvement measures. Engages with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, and customers to address logistics and supply chain matters. Ensures a secure, safe, and compliant work environment. Profit and Loss Management: Ensures the fulfillment of corporate profit targets, capital expenditure goals, cost containment objectives, depot management, IT application needs, and software requirements based on business evaluations and quality enhancements. Updates company policies and procedures related to Procure to Pay and AP processes in a timely, accurate manner, and offers clear guidance to employees. Analyzes, coordinates, and evaluates financial programs within operations, encompassing budgeting, project costing, fund flow, financial planning, and operations. Supervises the creation of financial reports, including expenses budgeting and forecasting, management reports, and other pertinent documents. Business Growth: Collaborates with internal cross-functional teams (Sales, Logistics, Customer Service) to develop sales strategies and offer solutions. Drives profitable sales growth and market share expansion by leveraging existing data and reports. Designs and executes sales strategies through thorough market analysis. Manages ongoing customer matters, including contract renewals and new supply chain requirements. Acts as a liaison between customers and internal departments to address various issues. Requirements Comprehensive grasp of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, along with a deep understanding of Business Processes, Management, and Requisites. Profound knowledge and practical expertise in fostering diverse business functions. Proficiency in process management and adept handling of customer and partner relationships. The incumbent in this position should exhibit well-demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and effective business acumen applicable across all organizational tiers. Proven track record of skillfully building and leading successful teams, showcasing seasoned and robust leadership abilities. Possesses an entrepreneurial and commercially focused mindset coupled with strategic prowess. Established history of evaluating, enhancing, and defining divisional strategies to bolster the overall enterprise.
