Purpose of the Job

-Provide legal advice as 2nd in command to the general in-house legal counsel of the Company

-Participate in initiatives, exercise projects undertaken by Company and provide legal input thereon

Responsibilities:
-Reviewing various new and renewal agreements within the Company, checking on such agreements compliance and legality and ensuring the agreements signed are beneficial to the Company\xe2\x80\x99s interest

-Liaising with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s external counsel/lawyers, communicating on the related agreements review, potential litigation and other legal related matters.

-Liaison person to communicate and assist to coordinate legal related matters to the government& department or any other related parties.

-Participating in major commercial contracts negotiation, drafting legal documentation and advising on all legal aspects.

-Involve directly on legal cases, including coordinating with solicitors, shareholders and third parties involved.

-Review and ensure updates of SOPs for Legal Department as and when necessary

-Ensure all works are carried out in a timely manner and with accuracy.

-Ensure compliance with the requirements of local regulations and all other relevant statutory regulations and guidelines, as well as all relevant Company policies and procedures

-Any adhoc task assigned by the superior/management from time to time.

-Support the organization within every area of Legal and Law.
Requirements

-Degree in Law recognized by the Government from any local or international institutions of higher learning

-Candidates with CLP or called to the Bar is an added advantage

-Possess at least 8 years relevant working experience

-Provide effective solutions to manage legal cases

-Strong sense of achievement in providing the right advice

-A desire for continuous improvement

-A desire for keeping everything organized and well documented

-Knowledgeable in Law and regulation, Business law, Legal process, Risk assessment, Business acumen, Contracts, Agreements, Law Act, Operation management and Documentation

-Possesses skills in Good Communication, Analytical & Strategic thinking, Problem-Solving, Proactive, Performance-drive, Ability to work in a team, Leadership, Written skills, Independent with can-do attitude
