Job Description


The Organization is in need of a General Manager to oversee various Departments such as Finance, Accounts, Procurement, Inventory, Logistic, Project, Contract, Administrative and IT, which also includes in overseeing Head of Departments and staff. A GM\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities includes formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful, you must be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision maker, helping our people to develop and be productive, while ensuring profits are on the rise. Ultimately your role is to help the company grow successfully.
Responsibilities:

  • To oversee day-to-day operations and work flow of the technical and project team;
  • To oversee various departments in the organization such as Finance, Accounts, Procurement, Inventory, Logistic, Project, Contract, Administrative, IT and Head of Departments (HOD\xe2\x80\x99s).
  • To control budgets and optimize expenses and operations by the project and technical team;
  • To formulate the overall strategies by managing the people and establishing policies;
  • To design, strategize and set goals for the company\xe2\x80\x99s growth;
  • To forecast and maintain the monthly and yearly budgets and optimize expenses;
  • To review existing company policies from time to time and implement new policies and processes for the betterment of the company;
  • To review and make revisions on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all departments on a quarterly basis. (subjected to BOD\xe2\x80\x99s requirements).
  • To oversee the recruitment process and training for new employees;
  • To evaluate and improve operations and financial performance;
  • To monitor and propose to the Board of Directors (BOD) the employees assessment processes;
  • To prepare the weekly/monthly reports for the Senior Management on a monthly basis;
  • To ensure safety and health regulations are adhered by staff at all times;
  • To provide solutions for arising issues (e.g. profit decline, employees conflicts, lack of business);
  • To ensure sustainability of the business for the company;
  • To conduct weekly Department & Management meetings;
  • To conduct and ensure a monthly presentation is carried out by all departments and submit reports to BOD
  • To look for diversified business with high returns.


Requirements:
  • An experienced Candidate in Construction Industry and Infra works, who has worked with systems
  • Must have experience in planning and budgeting
  • Knowledge in business development in process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent communication skills (English & Bahasa Malaysia for Malaysians)
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Masters or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with minimum 15 years experience as a GM in the Construction Industry.
