General Manager – Property Investment

Job Description

The General Manager - Property Investment will lead and manage the Group's property investment division, driving the strategic direction, performance, and profitability of the company's property investment portfolio. This role is responsible for identifying and evaluating real estate investment opportunities, optimizing asset performance, and ensuring sustainable long-term growth and returns. The incumbent will collaborate closely with senior leadership to align investment strategies with corporate objectives, manage risk, and enhance portfolio value through active asset management and capital improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities



1. Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement the Group's property investment strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives. Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and financial evaluations to identify high-potential investment opportunities. Oversee the full investment lifecycle including acquisition, development, leasing, asset management, and divestment.
2. Portfolio & Asset Management

Manage the Group's diverse real estate portfolio, including commercial, retail, and residential assets. Drive optimal asset performance through leasing strategies, tenant relationship management, and cost control. Monitor market dynamics and recommend proactive measures to maximize asset value and returns.
3. Financial & Risk Management

Lead investment analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI performance tracking. Oversee financial modeling, due diligence, and risk assessment for investment decisions. Negotiate acquisitions, joint ventures, and investment structures to maximize shareholder value.
4. Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with internal teams (Development, Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure successful execution of investment strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including investors, government agencies, consultants, and strategic partners.
5. Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements governing property investment and management. Prepare and deliver performance reports, market intelligence, and investment proposals to the Board and senior management.

Key Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

12-15 years of relevant experience

in property investment, asset management, or real estate development, with at least

5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven track record in structuring, negotiating, and managing successful property investments. Strong understanding of the Malaysian property market, including legal, financial, and regulatory frameworks. Strategic and analytical mindset with exceptional business acumen. Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Advanced financial modeling and investment analysis capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. High level of integrity, professionalism, and results-driven orientation.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM23,000.00 - RM25,000.00 per month
