We are currently seeking a General & Operational Accounting Analyst to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia (MY).

Statutory Accounting - - Position\'s General Duties & Tasks:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for tax & statutory accounting for the countries assigned.
• Responsibilities include monthly accounting close activities (i.e. preparing & posting journal entries, analyzing financial statements & ledger activities), prepare balance sheet reconciliations, fluctuation analysis on balance sheet items, support monthly/quarterly reporting requirement, update non-leading ledgers, preparation of local GAAP Trial Balance & Financial Statements, support statutory audit related matters and administrative tasks.
• This position will require interactions with local accounting consultants to prepare local GAAP Trial Balance and Financial Statements, external auditor during statutory audit and other internal functional teams (i.e. project accountants, AP & AR team, intercompany team, payroll team and finance) to collate the information or supporting documents required by the auditors.
• Involve in continuous process improvement and simplification project. Work closely with team members or business partners to rectify exceptions and closes all gaps identified.
• Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policy and ensure consistent process across the region and globally.
• Support internal & external audit and corporate tax filing.

Qualification:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance/Accounting
• Fresh graduate preferred or less than 2 years working experience
• Excellent communication skills & proficient in English
• Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc).
• SAP user knowledge is an added advantage.
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task
• Results oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff
