Position Description, General Technician (Laboratory)

As a Lab Technician prepares samples, performs tests, analyzes data, and maintains lab equipment, all while adhering to strict safety protocols and quality control standards. They play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of products.

Receiving, processing, and analyzing samples using established laboratory techniques and procedures.

Installing different types, sizes and weight of garage doors for testing usage on laboratory.

Conduct maintenance and repair of garage doors, including spring adjustment and replacement, as well as replacement of worn or damaged door hardware.

Install and uninstall garage door operators on the doors for laboratory testing

Performing functional testing of a garage door operator.

Assist in cleaning and reorganizing the testing laboratory, including moving boxes, materials, and equipment between designated areas.

Receiving, processing, and analyzing samples using established laboratory techniques and procedures.

Conducting routine and specialized tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.

Accurately documenting test results, maintaining detailed records, and preparing reports for review.

Maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.

Adhering to strict safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent contamination.

Managing laboratory supplies, ordering replacements as needed, and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Collaborating with other lab personnel, production staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow.

Participating in the development and implementation of new laboratory methods and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, quality, and environmental protection.

Identifying and resolving issues with equipment or processes, potentially involving troubleshooting and first-line corrections.

Maintaining and improving existing engineering processes. Conducting research, performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting equipment. Ensuring a safe, positive work environment. Bachelor's degree Equipment operation, and data analysis. Practical experience. Meticulous attention to detail in sample handling, testing procedures, and data recording. Ability to identify and resolve issues related to equipment, processes, or data. Effective verbal and written communication for reporting results and collaborating with others. Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols and procedures. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Excellent motivational skills and multitasking abilities. Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
