E-Mapping is looking for a talented Geographic Information Systems (GIS) intern to join our team. The qualified candidate will contribute across multiple project teams and provide a range of GIS services relating to mapping, transportation, analysis and environmental projects.
Responsibilities
Development, synthesis, management, and analysis of data
GIS mapping production
Editing geographic data
Producing shapefiles, story maps, and dashboards
Skills and Attributes
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently with guidance
Background experience working with Esri's ArcGIS Pro, Online, QGIS and Google Earth.
Ability to perform basic GIS analysis and query operations
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite especially Excel
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in geography, cartography, planning or environmental science, or a related field
2 years of completed coursework related to GIS is preferred
Experience with Esri ArcGIS Pro and Online
Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: RM500.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
