Job Description
The role requires you to be hands-on with GL closing, financial & management reporting, stock reporting and taxation matters. The role is reporting to the Finance Manager.
This role would require you to:
- Perform month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations, and updating schedules
- Prepare, review, and support external audit activities
- Review Financial Statements and provide advice for improvement
- Provide stock valuation analysis, prepare monthly slow-moving stock & responsible for year-end stock take exercise.
- Responsible for SST and corporate tax computation / estimates preparation & submission
- Be the advisor for accounting matters and ensure compliance with disclosure obligations
- Project Management (Budgeting, Risk Assessment, Time-frame and Resource Allocation Management)
- Other ad-hoc projects as and when required
A successful candidate would be required to possess the following:
- At least a University Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or Chartered, Certified or Certified Professional Accountant is accepted
- Minimum 5 years of handling full sets of Accounts in Commercial
- Preferably one with previous Manufacturing/Industrial experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Prior experience with SAP systems would be an advantage
- Detailed-oriented, independent, a good team player, and able to handle tight deadlines
