In this role, you will lead portions of our Corporate Accounting team, and support other Accounting teams (US, Mexico, and Malaysia). You will work together with the Accounting teams and third parties in the timely completion of month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close activities. Responsibilities:

  • Manage corporate consolidation and accounting close process to ensure timely, accurate and complete recognition of financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Direct management, mentorship and development of senior accountants supporting the corporate close process to meet organizational and professional goals.
  • Provide management and direction to remote direct reports, both in local and non-local locations.
  • Work closely with Senior Accounting Team, Internal Control, SEC Reporting, FP&A, Operational Business partners, Third Parties and External Auditors, both in local and global environments.
  • Responsible for ERP system, Chart of Accounts, account reconciliation oversight and preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Prepare, review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Support various ongoing projects throughout the year, including system changes and enhancements
  • Assist with the setup of processes and procedures, as well as design and implement process improvements that meet audit standards and to gain overall efficiencies.
  • Review and interpret financial reporting requirements, rules and regulations.
  • Design and monitor ad hoc reports and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, including annual statutory audits.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of GL experience within a global organization.
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in the accounting and financial areas.
  • Team Lead experience required.
  • Experience with D365 and/or Oracle ERP.
  • Team leader as well as a team player, with strong process and personnel management skills.
  • Ability to work on problems as well as on a team, and with high degree of accuracy.
  • Dealing in ambiguity with the ability to reprioritize based on multiple business needs.
  • Good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, within multiple levels of organization.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid role and interacting with a virtual team, both in a local and global environment.
