Location: This role is based in Prague, Czech Republic. #LI-Hybrid
Other possible locations are Hyderabad, India / Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia / Mexico City, Mexico.

About the role:
We are seeking a Global Category Manager to plan and lead all strategic aspects within the category of Utilities & Sustainability across divisions, on a global level and develops proposals for strategic business decisions.

This role will work directly with the Procurement, Real Estate team and reports to the Senior Global Category Manager - Real Estate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deriving strategies by defining clear category objectives, working with analytical data, business stakeholders and market expertise
  • Aligning strategies to measurable target and clearly conveying them to the organization
  • Projecting the dynamics and impacts. Extracting, cleansing and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage
  • Participating in and / or leading financial discussions. Applying financial knowledge to participate actively, e.g. in budgeting process, including tax aspects in sourcing strategies and structuring sophisticated deals with ecosystem partners.
  • Accountable to work with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives
  • Compliance & risk management: supporting reports to determine appropriate compliance level, including monitoring end-to-end compliance and deriving corrective actions to improve
  • Achieving results by proactively building long-term, sustainable and effective relationships, understanding the stakeholder landscape and demonstrating political astuteness across business structures and networks
Minimum requirements

Essential Requirements:
  • University/Advanced degree is required
  • Relevant business experience in a manufacturing, facilities management or energy/utilities (electricity, gas, water) environment
  • Strong understanding of the utilities environment, in manufacturing and/or trading
  • Analytical and strategical mindset, with ability to make formed decisions to high level stakeholder
  • Experience in Procurement or other related experience preferably in category management, supplier management or related area, with a focus in the real estate and facility services area.
  • Strong project management or other leadership experience.
Desirable requirements:
  • Master\'s Degree/other advanced degree in business administration, finance, or technical field (Engineering)
