Reporting to : Senior Manager

Subordinate : Sole contributor

To source for direct materials & manage suppliers (familiar in supplier process) - to support global activities.

Must have experience sourcing Capacitor / Inductor raw material.

Traveling up to 20% across global region.

Technical knowledge required.

Responsibilities:

Source materials and managing suppliers in support of all business units. Analyse global economic trend and commodity prices. Conduct spend analysis, SWOT analysis and supply vs demand analysis, etc. Develop, drive, implement and monitor long-range strategy to optimize business benefit. Establish, drive and execute contracts, price roadmaps and cost saving programs. Develop productive relationships with business partners to optimize business outcomes. Review and improve supplier performance metrics (supplier scorecard) and lead business reviews (QBR) with suppliers. Participate in vendor audit to ensure suppliers comply to Environmental Policy and Corporate Social Responsibility, etc. Coordinate with CFT, PLM on sourcing related activities. Ad-hoc assignments from superiors as appropriate.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Material/ Electrical Engineering or any other equivalent discipline. At least 5-7 years of relevant working experience in industrial manufacturing. Candidates with capacitor raw material sourcing experience will be an added advantage (film and/or ceramic capacitor) Strategic thinking and analytic skills, inclusive but not limited to total cost of ownership and detailed cost elements, etc. Market research capability, e.g., labour rate, inflation rate and raw material cost, etc. Ability work in a matrix organization and support multiple business units globally. Well-developed negotiation and communication skill (both verbal & written). Willing to travel for business meetings and supplier audit, etc.
