Conduct gold purity tests (acid test, electronic tester, XRF, etc.).
Identify gold karats (999, 916, 750, 585, etc.).
Detect differences between genuine gold, gold-plated, and fake metals. ? Accurately weigh jewellery using digital balances.
Record gross weight and net gold weight.
Record test results in the standard system/form.
Issue assay slips/reports for customers when required.
Maintain proper test records for internal audit purposes.
Maintain assay equipment (acid kits, testers, weighing scales, XRF).
Calibrate scales and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Report equipment issues or service needs to management.
Follow SOPs when handling chemicals (acid testing).
Handle customer jewellery with care and responsibility.
Ensure confidentiality and integrity of assay results.
Assist in other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.
