Working in our world-class Research, Design and Development department, our Product Development team takes our ideas to the next level. We are looking for Graduate Design Engineers to work alongside leading technical specialists and highly motivated creative people, to develop products which fulfil our ambition of being truly different and better than our competitors.

About the role

As a Graduate Print Engineer within the Graphics & Packaging team, you\'ll be expected to gain exposure on print technical and related processes. Working closely in production environment, you will get a chance to complete the missing link between graphics designing and final products.

Our Graduate Print Engineers engage with print suppliers and stakeholders on technical (design and print) related issues, discovering root causes of problems and understand the production limitations in order to deliver the high standards of Graphics & Packaging printed parts.

Be part of the team who do and manage the following:

Dyson Part Approval Process (for G&P owned parts) against established standards & tolerance.

Print and materials development to realise creative visions.

Maintain consistent working style within brand guidelines.

Analyse test and trial results and communicating insights & findings with both technical and non-technical colleagues, suppliers and constantly looking to challenge and develop Dyson engineering practices to continuously improve design and print quality.

Complete work in the agreed timescales and adheres to the schedules developed for Production.

Actively encourage the ethos to think differently.

About you

Our graduate roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be:

Working towards or have achieved a relevant discipline degree in Art/Design/Print Production/Advertising/Media or equivalent.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Sound understanding of basic graphics design principles and commercial printing processes.

Good exposure of POS, packaging mechanics, asset management and pdf workflows.

Experienced in using Designing Software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.

Able to evidence how you have applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your internship, university projects or as part of your co-curricular activities.

Passionate about Dyson and our technology to help us meet our ambitious plans.

To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience post-graduation (Phd students are not eligible for our graduate programmes).
